“Google Ad Creation Marketplace”

“Google Ad Creation Marketplace”
Latest news is that Google has accepted my application and demo as an audio production specialist vendor. The company is still in BETA (testing) with this new venture thus they are not adding creative professionals currently, however I have been placed on the “Invite List” which will be tapped as soon as they come out of BETA.

I have been saying for many, many months how important it is to consider professional voice talent and audio production specialists in all areas of your business communications. The success of the Google Ad Creation Marketplace should be an encouragment to you and I do hope you will consider the creative arts of voiceover actors and audio production folks to help make a positive impact for your company…it’s so easy!

On Zelda: TP voice overs…
I’ve heard a lot of people complain that Zelda: TP should have voice overs. I don’t know that I disagree but does anyone else think that perhaps it’s because the game is great looking which = lots of space on the game disc. Voice overs also require lots of space on the disc and let’s face it…TP is great looking but essentially a Gamecube game which means it’s limited to what? 1.8GB? That’s not a lot of space to work with.

That being said, the fact that TP is a Cube game doesn’t upset me in the least. It just gives me greater hope for what the Wii can accomplish for the next Zelda game. I mean as a cube game this game is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! It’s pretty darn good as a Wii game too!

MIDDLE FINGER PO
JARU HERMANO WAS SUPERB!!! yeheessss. i must admit that i have never been the biggest fan of TA productions. but this one, i swear to goddess athena i loooved it!!! jaru hermano did an excellent performance. mejo murang-mura ka nga lang. haha but nevertheless, it was wonderful. i swear i am not saying this just because were friends or whatev, haha but really jaru was great. the play was not dragging and heavy. it was very effective in making the audience feel every scene. i was scared during the creepy parts especially when voice overs would play and like the voice would sound big and low. i laughed during the funny parts and was awww-ing during the emo or touching parts. i liked it. oh!! i loved rin the stage design. it was snakes and ladders. parang the ladders were there together with the wires and stuff to create the “school” feel. haha im not sure. well thats how it looked to me.

Looking for Google Audio Ad Help?
Professional voiceover talent are prepared to meet the needs of marketers soon to be jumping on the Google Audio Ad bandwagon (www.Google.com). This new avenue of exposure for the marketer appears to be a great idea. This “bridge” between Google Ad Marketers and those who can bring their ideas to life is being approached with a good bit of enthusiasm by voice talent and audio production specialists.

Without doubt, hiring professional voice talent, audio production specialists etc. is of utmost importance. However, a quick word of caution:

-Talent/Production:
Be sure to watermark your creative child or you could have a bad day! (be sure to communicate this to your marketer first)

-Marketers:
Approaching this with a “the lowest bidder wins the gig” paradigm is not getting off on the right foot. While cost is always a point of consideration, there must be a balance. I would question the quote of a low-bidder…not to mention the quality of their work. A professional is worthy of professional rates. I don’t go looking for the cheapest doctor or the cheapest shade-tree mechanic, I look for qualified professionals…you would be wise to do the same when it come to your ad.

You CAN get good quality at a realatively reasonable rate.

Voice Talent

Hey, I was watching the ending credits of Futurama and I happened to see a name that caught my attention.  Actually, I dropped everything I had in my hand and crashed into the floor when I saw it.  The name I’m speaking of is John DiMaggio.  For those of you who do not know who that is, he is the voice talent behind Kimahri and Wakka from Final Fantasy X.  It’s been bugging me for quite some time now so I have to know; Is the same person? Repeating…Leaves a Nice Taste In My Mouth

Repeating…Leaves a Nice Taste In My Mouth
NO, not that kind of “repeating”. I’m talking about repeat business. I’m sure if you had a good experience with a person, vendor, tradesman etc., you would mark down the name and in the event the need ever arose again or if you were asked by someone for a recommendation, you would refer back to that person or company etc.

One of the hallmarks of any good business is the tally of repeat customers. So, when looking for a voice talent or audio production person, be sure to find out the percentage of repeat clients…ask for references, you’ll be glad you did and if the person is worth their salt, they’ll be happy to provide you with a long list.

Need Voice Over Talent
Looking for a few voice over people for a small project we are working on. Its a very short project so the actual recording won’t take too long. I’d prefer people that are in the south or southwest suburbs to avoid long travel for any pick up lines that may come up last minute, as its sort of a project that changes a little as we go along and we are always adding some new scenes, but we’re looking to wrap it soon. Its a fun project and I can tell you more about it if you email me. Looking for tw…

Episode 3 – The Real Life Adventures of Valis
Radio Free Gaming (Ep. 3) – Defunct Games is proud to bring you The Real Life Adventures of Valis, a brand new 12 minute radio play! Instead of hiring a bunch of voice talent we’ve decided to edit out all of the dialog from the TurboGrafx-CD game Valis II and rearrange it in a humorous (and entertaining) way. It’s a show full of excitement, mystery, and even a little intrigue. But not too much intrigue. Find out what you’re missing when you listen to The Real Life Adventures of Valis!

re: The voices behind the machine

re: The voices behind the machine

Hi Florian, yes I agree. And I would add that a sentence recorded by a good voice talent for a particular dialog state in a particular application is likely to be more contextually appropriate in terms of prosody, etc. – and hence more acceptable to callers – than the same sentence generated by a TTS system.

OLDER MALE VOICE OVER
Local DVD producer is looking for a voice-over artist for a forty-five minute travel DVD about San Francisco. The voice over person we’re looking for is more a “character” than a straight narrator, so we’re looking for an older “been there/done that” kind of voice that one could imagine had been hanging around Haight Ashbury in the Summer of Love, if you know what I mean. The actor we’re looking for has a good sense of irony and is able to bring out the humor in the lines without being to obstru…

Thanking Voice Talent after Auditions

Greetings, After you’ve selected a voice talent to work with, do you thank the other voice talents who applied for your voice-over job? Sending a quick email to voice talent who were not selected for your project is a considerate gesture that helps build relationships and a qualified network of skilled professionals. It also lets the talent know that you reviewed their submission and appreciated their efforts. Here’s a sample template that you can work from for thanking voice talents: Dear (Voice Talent Name), Thank you for responding to my job posting “Name of Project”. Although we selected another professional for this particular job, our team is interested in your voice and will keep you in mind for future projects. Thank you again for your audition. Sincerely, (Your name and company name) A simple yet grateful message will go a long way and build a good rapport with voice talent for future endeavors. Best wishes, Stephanie
