The Total Clean is unique in its flow process from any other system . The TOTAL CLEAN SYSTEM incorporates a v-shaped tank, a tilted plate baffle system, and a shaftless screw to create a clarifier. Instead of attempting to suspend the solids with the use of jets and agitators the TOTAL CLEAN lets nature takes its course and encourages the solids to settle to the bottom of the v-tank portion of the unit. The settling is enhanced by the tilted plate baffle system, which the slurry must flow through as it passes through the v-tank. The shaftless screw steadily moves the settled solids to the suction of the hydrocyclone feed pump. Varying the speed of the shaftless screw with VFD regulates the concentration of the slurry that is then pumped to the hydrocyclones. The heavy material and silts are removed by the hydrocyclones and then dewatered over high frequency linear shaker. The hydrocyclone/shaker units and pumps are sized appropriately so that the hydrocyclone feed rate is 3 to 4 times the flow rate through the system. This redundancy maximizes solids removal and resource recovery.

On this Carbon Fines recovery project one of the smaller Total Clean units was being utilized. This unit is one truck transportable and can be setup in a couple of hours . The estimated flow rate on this project was a 1000 GPM , 10% solids with a recovery of around 25 tons / hour of an estimated 1.4 Specific gravity solids . The material was then easily loaded into trucks and hauled away without the worry of the material spilling or dripping on the highway.

This harbor dredging project required two large Total Clean Systems to handle over 5000 gpm from a 14" dredge. This precision dredging project with material ranging from shell, organics, fine clays and silts to coarse sand, saw varying flow rates in excess of 5000 gpm with percent solids ranging from 6% to as much as 20 %. The unique process flow of the TOTAL CLEAN handled the varying conditions with no problems, Other dewatering methods that require the use of polymer require a fairly consistent feed in order for polymer to be metered into the system. Fluctuating flow rates and percent solids make it almost impossible to do this without a lot of wasted polymer and therefore higher cost. With the TOTAL CLEAN there is no need for costly polymers and the material can be hauled off immediately rather than waiting days or even weeks for the material to dewater.

On this south Florida dredging project the unit was set up in a quiet subdivision between a canal and a sidewalk. While handling 2000 gpm the TOTAL CLEAN quietly removed coral, shell, sand, and silt. Many residence out for a stroll or a jog found it quite entertaining to stop and watch as the clean white sand rolled off the unit. DEL offers several different sizes of TOTAL CLEANS, all of which can be customized for a particular job. Some units are unitized and require only one truck for delivery while our largest unit only requires three trucks and can be set up in a matter of hours. During this Coal Fines Recovery project both a Large Total Clean and Small Total Clean system were utilized in series. The large system took care of the Coal Fines while the smaller system dewatered the clays. Over 2200 GPM was dredged through this system along with 500 GPM of fresh water supplied the Spray Bars. The spray bars are used to wash the clays off of the coal. Coal Fines as small as 400 Mesh were being recovered and we were still able to maintain 80% dry solids. In order for us to accomplish these moisture results the coal was conveyed through a 40" centrifugal dryer. Without the dryer, we were able to maintain 70% dry solids, a tough task for competitors especially with material as small as 400 Mesh. This system is completely mobile and can be setup in 1 to 2 days. Don't waste thousands of dollars or even millions building a washplant up front.
